Amazing!! I feel nothing short of amazing. When I started working with Barbara, I was unable to drive my car, comfortably for more than 30 minutes, I became cramped, my hip was very painful and when I exited the car I limped to wherever I needed to go.
I also was so stiff that on getting up in the morning I had great difficulty putting on socks!! And I had terrible backaches! These issues were becoming very frustrating; I didn't feel as though I could do anything. I have always been active but thought because I was getting older that I would no longer be able to bike, run, snowshoe, or just plain walk any distance. However, this was before Barbara.
I am 70 years of age, I have started to run, I bike all summer, I snow shoed every day that we had enough snow, I walk every day for at least an hour AND I have never felt better. I have no issues with driving long distances and don't even think about my socks being a problem. And a backache is very rare. I love to work in my garden but because of my back was unable to stand the work for very long, now I can stay working on weeding or whatever needs to get done until the job is finished .

At first I was a bit apprehensive to make this investment of my time and money. I knew I had made the right decision because of the personal attention I received.
Exercising for many years, I hit an exercise plateau. I would go to the gym, attend a few classes, and did some weight training but I was inconsistent, going through the motions with little results. This program made me accountable not only to myself but to my trainer. The individual attention to adhere to my new strength training plan along with a nutrition plan; both of these combined helped me to reach a healthy BMI, great weight loss along with inches loss too.
For too long, I stayed focused on a scale number. My basic goal was to drop those last ten pounds. “ I signed up for "Total Changes" when it first started in March of 2005. I was looking for a program that would incorporate nutrition and exercise and, most importantly, accountability. I have tried several times to bring myself to a healthy weight and body fat percentage. I was up and down. I became frustrated. When I read the "Total Changes" flyer I became excited again. Meeting with a personal trainer 3 times a week kept me on task and motivated. I went from a fat % of 34.3% to 26.8% in just 12 weeks. How did I do it? Working the program! I attended nutrition talks, kept a food log and kicked up the intensity of my workouts! I never felt deprived or tired. I ate every 3-4 hours and never felt hungry or had cravings. In fact, several times I was told to increase the number of calories I was eating because I wasn't eating enough. I felt satisfied. No sugar highs and lows.
